Arms please arrange with a “friend” or talk to a steward.

We have to pause from collecting blister packs for recycling (our place for taking them is overloaded) but please still bring in your washed and flattened tetra packs.

Stretton Foodbank UpdateFood donations can be left in the baskets at the Coop or at the Mayfair Centre.

This week we especially need:

  1. Baked beans
  2. Pasta sauce
  3. Peanut butter
  4. Tinned peas
  5. Cornflakes
  6. Tea

Each week we also have to buy a substantial amount of food. This is funded by donations. To help us financially, the easiest way to donate money is by using this link to make a payment. https://tinyurl.com/SFBgive

Thank you Stretton.

Eco Church.  Our church is an Eco Church, having gained the silver award. Eco Church is an award scheme for churches operated by A Rocha. It believes that caring for God’s earth is a necessary and joyful part of Christian worship and discipleship. We have had to pause in our collecting of blister packs to recycle, BUT tetra packs are still being collected.

Our church is involved in local ecumenical activities, including; Churches Together in the Strettons, Stretton Traidcraft, Christian Aid, The Bible Society and The United Nations Association.   A major refurbishment of our church has provided greater flexibility to reflect the need for a variety of worship styles in the 21st century and provide full disabled access to all areas. The pews have gone and we have comfortable upholstered chairs. There is a new worship area with movable pulpit and communion rail. This flexibility provides for a variety of community uses of the church, making it more suitable for meetings, concerts etc. The worship platform has disabled access and an induction loop facility is available for those with hearing impairment in both the church and the hall. The church area, hall and vestry are available for use by the community. Please contact the lettings secretary for details. Mrs. Carole Coles Tel: 01694 724377

History of the Church Our book on the history of Methodism in Church Stretton and our church over the last 100 years. Copies are available in the church – £3.00 Contact Jon Cooke Tel: 01694-720353 for further details.

Our church has “accreditation” from the Fair Trade Organisation and is recognised as a Fair Trade Church. Church Stretton is a Fair Trade Town.
